PODCAST: Introducing our Fans of the Champs series, chatting with DavidDunn21
Tracking the long and sometimes painful of Bucks fandom that led to glory back in July
As promised in the look ahead at the GSPN schedule I gave you a couple of weeks ago, Jordan and I have started a new interview series on Win in 6!
In short, we want to continue to commemorate the Bucks finally winning it all again. It was a once in 50 years moment for Bucks fans, and we can’t simply let it drift on by, particularly as the new season gets ever closer.
To do that, we thought what better way to continue to live in that moment than to talk about it with fans of the team and those who, just like us, were along on the emotional rollercoaster that was this last playoff run, but also had become accustomed to the ups and downs of Milwaukee basketball beyond that.
We’ve already got eight episodes planned comprising of some of our listeners, fans you may recognize from Twitter, past Win in 6 guests and former Bucks bloggers, and we may keep it running beyond that if it’s something that you all enjoy. We want to get to the bottom of the personal stories, moments and recollections that make up Bucks fandom for our guests, and then get a closer look at how all of that culminated for them when the Bucks finally won it all in 6.
So, if you happen to like this series as the episodes progress, make sure to let us know!
First up is someone we’ve known for a long time through doing the pod, and who we’ve become good friends with over the years. Whether you know him for his amazing videos, his podcast, his t-shirts, or his sometimes contrarian Twitter takes, there probably aren’t too many online Bucks fans who haven’t come across DavidDunn21 at some point. We chatted about his journey as a Bucks fan and, yes, we also talked about Khris Middleton.
You can listen below or wherever you listen to podcasts via the Gyro Step Podcast Network feed.
I hope you enjoy it. Look for our second interview to drop early next week.
