Week 16 Cheeseboard
Two unexpected contributors and two blossoming players get cheese this week.
The Packers absolutely dominated the Saints 34-0 to secure the first shutout of the NFL season Monday night.
Both sides of the ball exceeded expectations as the offense was met with 0 resistance as they scored four touchdowns including one from each running back and the defense forcing two turnovers.
As such in a performance like that, there are plethora of cheese candidates as Jordan and I hand out cheeses this week.
Week 16 Candidates
Josh Jacobs: 13 carries, 69 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD // 4 catches on 4 targets, 38 receiving yards on 28 snaps (90.4 PFF grade)
Emanuel Wilson: 11 carries, 52 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD // 1 catch on 1 target, 4 receiving yards on 25 snaps (80.9 PFF grade)
Zayne Anderson: 3 tackles (2 solo), 1 pass breakups, 1 INT for 18 yards on 47 snaps (85.2 PFF grade)

Week 16 Cheeses
🧀 Edgerrin Cooper 🧀
Edgerrin Cooper’s meteoric rise on this team could not have come at a better time. With Quay Walker out with his ankle injury, the linebacker room has looked just as good as it was before Quay’s absence. Against the Saints, he recorded 10 tackles and was the subject of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman’s love throughout the broadcast. Cooper is going to be a focal point of this defense for a long time.
🧀 Zayne Anderson 🧀
Zayne Anderson is typically a special teamer, but with injuries to Javon Bullard and Evan Williams, he was thrust into action more often than we’d seen him before and he made the most of it. He played a career high 47 snaps and nabbed his first NFL interception and arguably should have had two. Good on him for making the most of his playing time and earning his first cheese.
🧀 Brenton Cox Jr. 🧀
I’m very happy to be typing out this paragraph. Coming out of the 2023 draft, I had two camp darlings: Emanuel Wilson, whose talent has been on display all season, and Brenton Cox Jr. Cox Jr. was an undrafted free agent out of Florida who dropped due to a variety of reasons including attitude issues. But the Packers saw through those issues and saw a prospect that at one time was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. Now, since getting more playing time with Preston Smith’s departure, Brenton Cox Jr. is showing out in his playing time. He’s played in every game starting with the Bears game and in that time he has 13 pressures, four sacks and a forced fumble. His coming out party is taking last call on RSVPs and you better be there, lest you miss out on this awesome player blossoming in front of fans’ eyes.
