Walking 500 miles = awesome (according to The Proclaimers).
Giving up 500 yards to the Philadelphia Eagles = not awesome.
But that’s exactly what the Joe Berry coached defense did on Sunday as the defense allowed their most points and yards thus far this season en route to a 40-33 loss.
What’s most disappointing is that the offense played well, scoring their most points this season.
For context, the most points the Packers allowed this season was 28 to the Cowboys. If the defense could contain Jalen Hurts and not let him run for more yards than he passed (157 vs. 153), they probably would’ve won this game.
Alas, while nobody on defense deserves a cheese, a few on the offense do.
The Cheeseboard 🧀
Talk of the Tundra’s Cheeseboard is a season-long leaderboard tracking and ranking exceptional performances from Packers players in the form of cheeses 🧀, of which they are three: Muenster (🧀), pepper jack (🧀🧀) and an aged sharp cheddar (🧀🧀🧀). At the end of the season, we will recap the Cheeseboard and see who ends up being the team MVP.
Christian Watson 🧀
Christian Watson showcased his elite speed during his 63-yard touchdown catch and run this past Sunday torching every defender chasing him. Fair to say the rookie has come into his own after a rough start to begin the year. That’s six touchdowns in three weeks for Watson. In total he had four catches for 113 yards on Sunday. Good enough for a slice of Muenster.
Aaron Jones 🧀
Aaron Jones was doing Aaron Jones things. The best player on the team did a great job both running and catching the ball against a tough Philly D, racking up 43 yards on the ground and 56 yards through the air including a magical touchdown reception.
AJ Dillon 🧀
AJ Dillon was a beast this game, carrying the ball eight times for 64 yards and a touchdown that showed off Dillon’s best quality as a running back, his north-south running style. Thirty one of his 64 yards came after contact, he forced one miss tackle and had three rushes of over 10 yards. All in all a great week for Quadzilla.
Joe Berry 🤢🧀
This has been long overdue. The packers have allowed the most rushing yards in the NFL this season at 1,857. They have the ninth most total yards allowed. Both of those statistics weren’t helped by the fact that Joe Berry cannot game plan for two facets of an offense at once. And this week he decided to game plan for Jalen Hurts’ arm rather than his legs. Rarely do you see a quarterback have more rushing yards than passing yards, but Joe Berry’s poor game planning and coaching led to the defense missing 22 tackles and allowing Hurts and running back Miles Sanders to near 300 yards rushing between the two of them.
Joe Berry doesn’t have a control of his defensive locker room and should not be back next season.

Preview of Packers-Bears, score predictions
The Bears are down a lot of players this week including Darnell Mooney and Eddie Jackson, both of which sustained serious injury after their loss to the Jets this past Sunday. Additionally, the Bears have a few other corners on the injury report as well that could lend the passing game to have success this week.
But don’t get fooled.
The Packers need to run the ball first this week. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon went off in the week 2 matchup at Lambeau Field and there’s no reason why that tandem can’t do it again.
We’ve seen it all year long that the running game opens up the passing game for Rodgers so utilizing either a run-first or truly balanced offensive attack this week will lead to success for Green Bay.
With Romeo Doubs possibly returning from his sprained ankle, this could be the first time all season the receiving room was fully healthy entering a game. Healthy receivers + a thing cornerback room = opportunity for touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball. Simply put: if Fields plays, contain him in the backfield and force him to throw to a lackluster group of receivers.
But I don’t expect the Packers to be able to stop the run despite knowing it’s coming so we may see another 100+ yard game from David Montgomery.
