Podcast: Trying to predict the Bucks playoff rotation
Mike Budenholzer has himself some tough decisions to make.
Between the offseason, the trade deadline, and the buyout market, the Milwaukee Bucks have amassed a deep roster ahead of the 2022 NBA Playoffs. That presents coach Mike Budenholzer with a good problem, but a problem nonetheless: who will be left out when the rotation tightens in the playoffs?
Rohan and I tried to figure it out on a long Gyro Step episode spent going through each Bucks player, how different matchups will affect the Bucks personal, and who should close against each of the threats to Milwaukee.
Obviously Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday will play a lot against everybody, but is there room for all three of Wes Matthews, George Hill, and Jevon Carter? And what about Serge Ibaka? Those four players were the hardest to pin down for us — everybody else seems to fit pretty obviously either in or out of the playoff rotation right now.
We’re getting a lot of good discussion in the YouTube comments and on Twitter regarding the rotation, so feel free to weigh in either of those places or in the comments below!
