PODCAST: The Bucks miss on Dragic but sign Jevon Carter
We all reacted to the idea of signing Jevon Carter both before and after it actually happened on the latest GSPN crossover pod.
The Milwaukee Bucks lost out on Goran Dragic, who signed with the Brooklyn Nets, so all four of the Gyro Step Podcast Network hosts sat down to discuss what that means for Milwaukee and look ahead to the rest of the season and the playoffs given the magnitude of Dragic’s presence on a sparse buyout market.
But first, three of them (Adam McGee, Jordan Treske, and I) analyzed Milwaukee's signing of Jevon Carter, which broke just after Rohan Katti jumped off the Zoom call. So the episode starts with Carter signing analysis, but there's also a portion on the idea of signing him before we knew he was signed. There's some Inception stuff happening here, hopefully in a fun way for our dear listeners.
Also there's a big argument about which Eastern Conference opponent is scarier, the Miami Heat or Philadelphia 76ers. I’m all in on Miami as being the boogieman again, but Rohan and Adam aren’t having it.
Finally, we shared our thoughts on seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo with the rest of the NBA 75 guys who attended All-Star weekend. It meant a lot to all of us for some of the same reasons, and some different ones. Buckle up, this is quite the super GSPN pod.
