Podcast: Taking a big picture look at the 2021-22 Milwaukee Bucks
The team is a mess right now, so we answered some big picture questions on the latest Gyro Step.
The current state of the Milwaukee Bucks is a mess, so Rohan and I decided to zoom out far away from both two-way players being in the starting lineup to think about the big picture for this Bucks team on the latest Gyro Step podcast.
We did so by answering some big questions: can the Bucks repeat as champions, and what kind of trades and free agents might Jon Horst target over the next few months? The first of those questions didn’t take much time for us to answer, although there is some necessary nuance to include when doing so.
Next up were free agents and potential trades. We did free agents first, covering three total players (although only two of them are actually currently available, one is pending a buyout that may or may not happen).
Rohan had higher aspirations than I did on potential trades. One of the players he targeted would be a stunning addition, while I sought to improve more around the margins. We had four total trades, and also included our thoughts on if the team had to make a move, or if we’d be disappointed if the Bucks were inactive through trade and buyout season. I don’t think Trader Jon is going to sit on his hands, honestly.
