PODCAST: Learning how to really evaluate Mike Budenholzer

We brought UWO head coach Brad Fischer on the Gyro Step to get his valuable insight on evaluating NBA coaching.

We have criticized Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer plenty on the Gyro Step podcast, but how much of that criticism is actually valid? We brought on UW Oshkosh Women's Basketball head coach Brad Fischer to find out!

Brad is a longtime Bucks fan and a decorated coach with individual honors and tons of team success on his resume, so he brought a completely different perspective to watching Bud and the Bucks. We learned a ton about how coaching actually works.

Topics include the long-term view an NBA coach has to prioritize, calling plays vs a flowing offense, why coaches get mad late in blowouts, and Brad deciding if Bucks Twitter's Budenholzer gripes are valid or not. Although in his words he’s a huge advocate for coaches, Brad did find some of our criticisms fair!
