PODCAST: Checking in with Jordan Nwora and Sandro Mamukelashvili during their Herd assignments
Hear the Gyro Step crew's interviews with Nwora and Mamu, plus our thoughts on their development so far.
Listeners might be surprised to know that prior to last night, Rohan Katti and I had only met once: at the Milwaukee Bucks championship parade. Our second meeting was nearly as cool, as we took in the Wisconsin Herd vs Lakeland Magic game together before getting to interview Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jordan Nwora.
With the Milwaukee Bucks roster getting healthier and the team being off on Thursday, Nwora and Mamu — essentially the entirety of Milwaukee’s young core at this point — were assigned to the Herd to play against the second night of their back-to-back against Lakeland.
After covering the game itself and some other Herd players to open the pod, Rohan and I shared our thoughts on Nwora and Mamu’s games specifically, and our interviews with them both after the game.
It turns out the two are friends dating back to before Milwaukee drafted them both, and seeing them drop 60 combined points was even cooler with that insight. We also got the inside scoop on Nwora’s “beef” with Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday, and some insight on the Bucks’ goals for their young players when assigned to the G League.

We don’t always have player interviews, but we cover everything going on with the Milwaukee Bucks and try to have some fun while doing it.
Amazing work guys, Big Time Ti comes through again 🔥
