PODCAST: A look back at 2021 plus the current state of the rotation
It was a huge year for the Milwaukee Bucks, and for us here at the Gyro Step.
While far from perfect, 2021 contained some substantial highs for the Milwaukee Bucks, including that whole first title in 50 years thing.
Rohan and I took an extended look back at the wild year that was 2021 for both the Bucks and for the Gyro Step on our latest episode, and admittedly got a little emotional doing so. Instead of our typical off-the-cuff style, we put some thoughts together on the year ahead of time and relived the story together, with all of you terrific listeners of course.
After that, we got back to our normal flow and dug into the current state of Milwaukee's rotation, both marveling at how deep it is overall and discussing how the emergence of Donte DiVincenzo and Wes Matthews may be putting Grayson Allen on somewhat of a hot seat considering his recent slump.
We didn’t quite fly off the handle enough to demand an immediate change to the starters or anything like that, but Rohan and I agree that if Grayson continues his poor play of late — which seems to be linked with how many of the Big Three he’s on the floor with — he may end up coming off of the bench for one of Donte or Wes. We’re not there yet, though.
The end of the episode contained some off-the-cuff news: if you use Spotify and would like your thoughts on the show read, like we do with Apple reviews, we got you! Email your thoughts, plus a screenshot of your five-star Spotify rating (the function is available on the Spotify app now) to gyrosteppod@gmail.com and you’ll get it read on a future episode!
