Jets pull away from Packers as offense's tail spin continues
March into nation's capitol looking to stop skid against Washington Commanders
Apparently the city of New York has some beef with lowly Green Bay. The Packers lost an admittedly embarrassing game to the New York Jets 27-10 at home just one week after losing to the New York Giants in London.
The back-to-back losses is the first instance in the regular season since Matt LaFleur took over as head coach.
Green Bay once again abandoned its run game in part due to scheme seemingly and in part due to the abysmal offensive line play. The Jets defensive line lived in the Packers backfield wreaked havoc all day long.
Ultimately, after being tied 3-3 at halftime, the defense was overwhelmed from a full game of being on the field and the flood gates opened, allowing the Jets to score 17 points in the second half. Since the second half against the Giants, the Packers have been outscored 44-12. Not good.
But it wasn’t all bad as one Packers player decided to have his best game of the season so far.
The Cheeseboard 🧀
Robert Tonyan 🧀
Big Bobby Tonyan had his best game of the season thus far hauling in 10 receptions on 12 targets for 90 yards. Whether it was due to other WRs not getting open or the Jets allowing Aaron Rodgers throw underneath to his fifth-year tight end, Big Bobby seems to be recovering nicely from his ACL injury last year.

Preview of Packers-Commanders, score predictions
Truthfully, I would’ve much rather the Packers had a chance to pin their ears back and tee off on Carson Wentz. Wentz is tied for the league lead in sacks with Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields at 23.
The problem with Wentz — that I’ve seen at least — is that Wentz refused to move up in the pocket and had an awful feel of the pressure while passing. Wentz’s backup Taylor Heinicke — while still sack prone — shouldn’t have that issue as he is a more elusive than the current version of Wentz is.
In Heinicke’s matchup against the Packers at Lambeau, Heinicke had a touchdown and interception to go with 268 yards. However on the ground, Heinicke scrambled for 95 yards on 10 carries. Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, Taylor Heinicke. Ghosts of running QBs past continue to haunt the Packers.
The Commanders dynamic rushing attack is going to be something to keep an on eye on. Its backfield of Brian Robinson, Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic has talent in more ways than one and the way the Packers’ rush defense has been this season, they could have an explosive game.
Against the Jets, the Packers’ offensive line was a sieve, allowing the defense to live in the backfield. The Commanders have 15 sacks from their defensive line. That could be a recipe for disaster for Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon this week. If the Packers don’t fix their line, it could be the biggest swing factor in whether or not the Packers offense is successful this game.
