Jackson Chourio makes history, Brewers grind out series win over the Giants

Jackson Chourio has 20/20 vision.

The Milwaukee Brewers bounced back from a series loss to the Rockies by taking two of three games from the San Francisco Giants. Tuesday’s game was tight and stressful, but The Crew got the job done. Aaron Civale’s solid outing was followed by a dominant bullpen performance in a 3-2 win.

Wednesday is a game I will speak of now and never think of again. Colin Rea allowed 10 earned runs in just four innings of work and the Giants won 13-2. HOWEVER, Jake Bauers did record his first career strikeout as a pitcher. Silver linings, am I right?

But, as you know, this story has a happy ending. Frankie Montas finished the series by tossing six shutout innings and Aaron Ashby, Trevor Megill, and Devin Williams kept the train rolling to combine for a shutout win. Willy Adames scored the first run on a Camilo Doval wild pitch and Jackson Chourio added some insurance by slugging his 20th homer of the season. Hitting 20 homers and stealing 20 bases at age 20 is CRAZY. This guy is good.

The Brewers will now head to the desert to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks and their surging bats. Can Milwaukee put a bit of a damper on Snaketember?
