It was a great week to be a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Three wins out of four games against the Miami Marlins coincided with the Chicago Cubs dropping two games to the Colorado Rockies. Milwaukee’s lead in the NL Central has grown to 4.5 games over the Cubs and seven games over the Reds.
This series had everything. On Monday, Brandon Woodruff threw a complete game shutout and the bats piled up runs in 12-0 win. Tuesday’s 3-1 win saw Freddy Peralta put together another stellar outing and new Brewer Josh Donaldson hit a homer.
Wednesday was the only blip on the radar, as the lineup went cold in a 2-0 loss. The Crew bounced back in the series finale with a 4-2 win. Next up is three games against the Washington Nationals.
