Bucks Stock Market: Surviving the Spurs
The vets proved their metal against a young and fun San Antonio Spurs squad.
Welcome to the Bucks Stock Market! This is a fictitious market run by the GSPN crew that tracks player stock “movement” following the conclusion of every game. Here’s the spreadsheet logging the game-by-game results.
After an absolutely embarrassing performance from the short-handed Bucks against Miami on Thursday, Milwaukee went into San Antonio and came out with a much-needed win against the feisty Spurs. Let’s get it!
Khris Middleton📈
What stood out to me most from Khris’s performance is that he actually got to the charity stripe. Middleton’s inability to get any sort of respect from officiating is well known, but was not the case tonight! He also led the team in scoring on night where it seemed like they needed it.
George Hill📈
It feels so nice having George Hill back. Going back to his normal reserve role with the return of Jrue Holiday, Hill was a great stabilizing force for the times the Bucks offense and defense seemed out of sorts. Having him in this reduced role for this season and come playoff time will be huge.
Pat Connaughton📈
Last year’s title may have had the most impact on Planet Pat out of everyone. This man just LIVES for big shots. After getting multiple Mike Been “BANG!” calls during the Finals last season, Pat came in clutch with some massive threes to put the game away.
Grayson Allen📉
This one hurts because he seemed to always be in good spots, but his shot still has yet to make his regular season debut for the Bucks. 36.4% from the field and 25% from deep just can’t happen as that fifth starter for this team.
The Milwaukee Bucks continue their early season road trip with a visit to Malcolm Brogdon and the Indiana Pacers on Monday, October 25th.
