Bucks Stock Market: Shining under the lights
Milwaukee easily handled the Knicks in a game that started at 11 a.m. central.
The Bucks Stock Market is a fictitious market run by the GSPN crew that tracks player stock “movement” following the conclusion of every game. Here’s the spreadsheet logging the game-by-game results.
In previous years, Sunday matinee games have been difficult for the Milwaukee Bucks. That was not the case today, as the Bucks were able to easily handle the short-handed New York Knicks who were without RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, and Alec Burks. Though a third quarter explosion from Quentin Grimes, who made his first career start today, kept this game from being a slaughter, Milwaukee was able to lock in on both end of the court to get the win at the Garden. Let’s talk movements!
Khris Middleton📈
This was Khris’s seventh straight game scoring 20 or more points, which is great to see after his stretch of (understandably) low-scoring games after coming back from COVID-19. He got hot early and was a driving force behind the Bucks amassing a large lead, pouring in 16 points in the first half.
Middleton also seemed to take exception to the audacity of Tom Thibodeau putting Evan Fournier on him, so Khris decided to absolutely filet him.
Bobby Portis📈
Portis was FEASTING against his former team. While recording his 10th double-double of the season, Bobby pulled down five offensive rebounds, which ties his season-high. He was scoring, blitzing effectively, and taunting the MSG crown in style.
Rodney Hood📈
This might be one of the last games we see Rodney Hood see significant minutes with the imminent return of Donte DiVincenzo, and Rodney played like he wanted to keep his spot secured. Hood had a season-high 12 points on a perfect 5-5 from the field, including 2-2 from deep. He also had some fine defensive moments in what was by far his best game in a Bucks uniform.
The Milwaukee Bucks will play the fourth game of this five-game road trip on Monday in Boston at 6:30 p.m. central.
