The Milwaukee Bucks played basketball for the first time in months on Sunday night and it was glorious… for about eight minutes. Then the game went awry, including both offensive ineptitude once Damian Lillard checked out of the game plus Gary Trent Jr. hurting his elbow and leaving the game in the second quarter.
We discussed everybody who played for the Bucks in our first Gyro Step of the 2024-25 season, starting with Trent Jr. and giving some context for other elbow injuries and how long they’ve kept NBA players out and then gushing over the Dame offensive explosion. Brook Lopez looking spry, Bobby Portis spraying threes and not being able to DHO, a nice debut for Taurean Prince, a low-key solid Pat Connaughton game, and a whole ton of disappointing young Bucks were also covered.
