Brewers return to form with a bang with an offensive explosion to sweep the Braves

The Milwaukee Brewers entered this week’s series against the Atlanta Braves having lost their last three series. The vibes were mediocre at best and Brewers fans were starting to get a little nervous about what the future might hold for this team. The Brewers responded by absolutely hammering the Braves and sweeping the series.

Tuesday got the bloodbath started with a 10-0 shellacking. Colin Rea tossed seven shutout innings, Willy Adames slugged two homers, and six Brewers in total had a multi-hit game.

Game 2 was a little closer. The Braves jumped out to a two run lead in the first inning, but the Brewers would claw their way back. In the end, The Crew would come away with an 8-5 victory.

Thursday afternoon’s series finale saw the bats step it up a notch, as if anyone thought that was possible after the feats they’d already accomplished. The Brewers piled up 20 hits and hit six homers in a 16-7 thumping to complete the sweep.

Next up, the Brewers return to Milwaukee for a crucial 10-game home-stand against the Reds, Dodgers, and Guardians.
