Brewers lose to the Yankees in return home, fall foul of daylight robbery with shambolic umpiring in Game 3
Anyone seen any good movies lately?
The Milwaukee Brewers dropped two of three games to the New York Yankees over the weekend. Honestly, despite losing a series to the Padres earlier in the season, this was the first series that truly felt like a gut punch.
Game 1 produced a dramatic walk-off win as Joey Ortiz’s 11th inning single gave The Crew a 7-6 win. Game 2 was one to forget as the Yankees scored early and often in a 15-3 victory.
Game 3 was another Yankees beatdown, but the story was the shambolic umpiring in the 6th inning. Apparently you’re allowed to swat baseballs out of the air like you’re trying to protect the rim in an NBA Finals game. Anyway, the Yankees won 15-5 and let’s all yell into the void.
Next up is three games against the Tampa Bay Rays.
