The 2022 Milwaukee Brewers season has been a rollercoaster ride. Usually it’s been the kind that makes you sick afterwards, but hey, that’s the rollercoaster game. Sometimes you throw up.
This week’s series against the Colorado Rockies started with great vibes. The Crew erased a 3-0 deficit on Monday afternoon, giving way to a relatively stress free 6-4 win.
Tuesday night was all pain. The Brewers held a 6-1 lead in the 8th inning, but it would be erased with five runs in the bottom of the 8th off of Luis Perdomo and Peter Strzelecki. A solo Manfred ball run in the top of the 10th would not be enough to give Milwaukee the win. Randall Grichuk walked things off in the bottom half of the inning, which secured a 10-7 win for the Rockies.
Wednesday’s afternoon finale was more misery. In need of sweeps, not just series wins, the Brewers instead lost two out of three games to a team with a significantly worse record. So it goes.

Master Brewer Leaderboard (through 136 games)
(The Master Brewer Leaderboard is a season-long leaderboard tracking and ranking exceptional performances from Brewers players in the form of Master Brew Points 🍺, which at the end of the season will tally up to crown our Crewsing for a Brewsing Player of the Year.)
Brandon Woodruff 🍺
Woody did his part in Denver. His seven innings with a single run allowed had many fans wondering if he should pitched the 8th inning. Alas, it went a different way and Woodruff was not rewarded with a win for his efforts. He does however get a beer, if that’s any consolation.
Victor Caratini 🍺
Caratini provided the biggest Brewers offense moment in this series. Vic finished the series 2-for-7 with one homer (a three-run homer), four RBI, and one run scored.
Devin Williams 🍺
Devin Williams provided a multi-inning save. Is that a sign of things to come? In Monday afternoon’s win, Williams pitched 1.1 innings with no runs allowed and a strikeout.
