Brewers clinch playoff spot with NL Central title just one win away

The Milwaukee Brewers will be participating in the 2023 MLB Postseason. This is a thing that will be happening, so let’s all breathe one long sigh of relief. Now prepare yourself to shotgun several beers in celebration of The Crew winning the NL Central! One more Brewers win or one more Cubs loss will finish the job.
The Brewers dropped two of three games to the Marlins over the weekend, but given the circumstances it’s fair to say we’re not concerned about that. Friday’s series opening win was electric. Milwaukee scored 12 runs in the second inning and ended up winning 16-1. Rowdy Tellez even closed things out on the mound with a scoreless 9th inning. Is it time for high leverage Rowdy?
Saturday saw a comeback effort fall short in a 5-4 loss and Sunday’s finale was a sleepy 6-1 loss. The Cardinals come to American Family Field for three games starting tonight and I can think of no better opponent to vanquish before a champagne celebration.
