Brewers claim another series win, with Corbin Burnes' Orioles their latest victim
It was a weekend filled with runs and crab-cakes (I assume)
The Milwaukee Brewers took a trip to Baltimore this weekend. They left with two more wins and another series victory, as has been par for the course this season. Game 1 saw an offensive onslaught and utter dominance from Freddy Peralta. Freddy’s 11 strikeouts over six innings came in the midst of 15 Brewers hits and 11 runs. An easy 11-1 win is good for the heart and the soul.
In Game 2 the hits (and runs) kept coming. Despite a tough start from DL Hall, the Brewers came away with an 11-5 triumph. One bright spot was Jake Bauers’ first homer as a Milwaukee Brewer. His three-run blast broke a 5-5 deadlock and broke the game open for Milwaukee.
Sunday’s finale saw the Brewers face old friend Corbin Burnes. Milwaukee’s bats made life difficult for Burnes, limiting him to five innings pitched and scratching across three runs, but they were unable to deliver a crushing blow. The Orioles delivered some good at-bats late and salvaged a 6-4 win. The Brewers return home Monday for three games with the San Diego Padres.
