Brewers best Seattle to move to 6-2 start on the season before heading on the road
A series win finishes off a 3-2 home-stand.
The Milwaukee Brewers continued their positive start to the season this weekend. The Seattle Mariners came to town for three games and were sent back west with a pair of losses.
The series opener saw The Crew win in dramatic fashion. After losing both a 3-0 lead and a 5-3 lead, they displayed some patience as Mariners reliever Andres Munoz walked four of the five batters he faced to give Milwaukee a literal “walk-off” 6-5 win.
Bryce Miller quieted the Brewers’ bats Saturday and Munoz bounced back to lock down a 5-3 win for Seattle. Sunday featured an offensive eruption. William Contreras went 4-for-5 with a couple of homers and Milwaukee secured a happy flight to Cincinnati with a 12-4 win.
Next up is a trip to Ohio for a 4-game set against the division rival Cincinnati Reds.
