Brewers beat the Reds in rain-shortened series, Yeli continues to be BACK
The Milwaukee Brewers enjoyed a successful week in the land of bad chili
It’s another 8-3 start for our Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers entered Cincinnati expecting to play four games against the Reds, but the weather had other ideas. The Crew would have to settle for taking two of three games from their NL Central rivals with Thursday’s finale being postponed to August 30th due to rain.
Aaron Ashby’s return to the mound was a mixed bag due to some uncharacteristically rough defense from the Brewers. The bats would nearly battle back from an 8-0 deficit, but they ultimately fell 10-8.
They bounced back in Game 2 thanks to a stellar start from Joe Ross and some hot bats. Ross pitched into the 7th inning and allowed just two earned runs in a 9-5 win.
Wednesday’s game saw the return of Wade Miley and the bats continued to fire on all cylinders. A 7-2 win brings the Brewers record to 8-3 as they head to Baltimore for a meeting with the formidable Orioles. Let’s hand out some beers.
